COURSE DISTANCES
ELITE & U23 – Standard Distance
1500m SWIM (2 x 750m laps) – Ocean Swim/Beach start
40km BIKE (8 x 5km laps) – 1 steep hill (North St - 200m) w. technical section & 3 x U turns per lap
10km RUN (4 x 2.5km laps) – Flat and fast

ELITE COURSE DESCRIPTION (Elite/U23)
SWIM – 750m lap
Ocean swim with beach start
Water Temperature 15-21 degrees celsius

BIKE – 5km lap
Turn LEFT out of carpark and head East along Bluff Road to Clement street (approx. 200m)
U turn at Clement street then head West back past transition then onto Coles Beach on Coles Beach Road
Turn LEFT at Coles Beach travel over train line and turn LEFT onto North Street.
Climb North Street hill – U turn just before the T junction w. Percy Street
Descend North Street hill and turn LEFT into Nixon Street at bottom of the hill
U turn just before James Street intersection
Return to transition via Coles Beach Road and Bluff road to complete 5km lap

U Turn Points
·      Bluff Road & Clement Street
·      North Street & Percy Street
·      Nixon Street & James Street

COMMENTS
·      3 x U turns per 5km lap
·      1 x 200m steep climb (North Street) per lap
·      Cyclist stay on road for entire bike ride (i.e. do not ride through car park at end of each lap)

RUN – 2.5km lap
Exact same run course as past, heading East to George Street and return along Bluff Road/Victoria Parade (and running back through car park each time)
