Welcome to the 31st running of the Devonport Triathlon.  Devonport welcomes its first Para Triathlon to Tasmania
You must be entered/registered on the LOC registration system.  Please go to http://www.devonporttriathlon.com.au/ for further detail.

COURSE DISTANCES
Para Triathlon – Sprint Distance
750m SWIM (1 x 750m laps) – Ocean Swim/Beach start
20km BIKE (5 x 4km laps) –  technical section & 2 x U turns per lap
5km RUN (2 x 2.5km laps) – Flat and fast
Para Triathlon COURSE DESCRIPTION
SWIM – 750m lap
Ocean swim with beach start
Water Temperature 15-21 degrees celsius

BIKE – 4km lap (x5)
Turn LEFT out of carpark and head East along Bluff Road to Clement street (approx. 200m)
U turn at Clement street then head West back past transition then onto Coles Beach on Coles Beach Road
Turn LEFT at Coles Beach travel over train line and turn RIGHT then LEFT onto Nixon Street
U turn at Monash Court
Return to transition via Coles Beach Road and Bluff road to complete 4km lap

·      Bluff Road & Clement Street
·      Nixon Street & Monash Court

COMMENTS
·      2 x U turns per 5km lap
·      Flat course
·      Cyclist stay on road for entire bike ride (i.e. do not ride through car park at end of each lap)

RUN – 2.5km lap
Exact same run course as past, heading East to George Street and return along Bluff Road/Victoria Parade (and running back through car park each time)

Price of local transportation: See event website – shuttle/car/boat
Prices of local transportation vary. Taxis are approximately $20 AUD for short trip of approximately 10km. Buses are very reasonable $5 per day. Hire cars are approximately $60 per day. Planes and boat fares into Tasmania can vary from $50 - $350 one way.
