World Triathlon

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE)
PRE-EVENT COVID 19 SCREENING - ALL participants - athletes and coaches who are coming to this event and entered through the triathlon.org Entries system must refer to https://www.triathlon.org/pre_event_covid_19_screening_guide and follow the necessary instruction to access your account and submit the required documentation.
• No Quarantine required on entry to Kenya for this event.
• VISAS AND TRAVEL

It is IMPERATIVE to check if you require a VISA for Entry into Kenya. PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO CONFIRM REQUIREMENT FOR YOUR VISA https://evisa.go.ke/eligibility.html
Visas can be obtained online prior to departure from your home country - CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR COUNTRY IS LISTED ON THE ONLINE APPLICATION LIST.

If you cannot get your visa application online and have to get one BEFORE departing from your home country please contact LOC well in advance to get the necessary Letters of Invitation and Support.  ANY QUERIES PLEASE CONTACT LOC ADMINISTRATOR FOR ASSISTANCE on TRAVEL and Transfers.
COURSE FOR ELITE/U23/JUNIOR/PARATRIATHLON
SWIM:
Water Temperature - expect 28 degrees
Laps - Sprint - 1 x 750m lap
Start Mechanism – Land start
Conditions – Ocean - clean, disease and animal free
BIKE:
Laps - Sprint - 4 x 5km laps - flat and not technical.  No requirement for gear/cassette changes.  No Full Road closures.
RUN:
Laps - Sprint - 1 x 5km lap – flat and all tarmac
COVID 19 PROTOCOLS - please refer to the Concept Paper Document for more information -
A PCR Test should be carried out 48 hours prior to travel - check with your airline for specific requirements
Pre-Event screening must be submitted via the WT system by each individual
PPE/Medical Certificate must be submitted by each individual
A PCR Test or antigen test must be done by every athlete on site at the race venue Friday 29 April (check schedule)
Daily screening will be carried out for every participant, coach and official
COMPULSORY - Every athlete/coach/official will have to have a PCR test before travelling back to their home countries (check Athlete Guide for schedule).  This will be done at the host hotel on Saturday April 30th 2022 at 1500 - Budget cost USD 70 per person
